Suspension bridge Belalp – Riederalp (Aletschbrücke)

Location:Upper-Valais, Goms Valley, between Riederalp and Belalp

Departure

From Mörel take the Riederalp West cable car. From the gondola exit, follow Riederfurka, Hängebrücke. Belalp.

Itinerary

After a short climb to Riederfurka, always follow Belalp and Hängebrücke for a long descent to the suspension bridge, after crossing the bridge start the climb to Belalp.

Practical information

The places called “Grünsee” on the descent before the suspension bridge and “Baselbodu” after the suspension bridge are ideal places to organize the picnic.

To do this hike, take public transport from Brig train station, joining Mörel by train and Riederalp by the West gondola. From Belalp, reach Blatten by cable car and Brig by post bus. This hike can be done both ways. Hike for very good walker.
