not very difficult hike which is also named “ibex trail”. With luck you will see during the climb to the Col des Roux. Discovery of the dam Grande Dixence, the highest damweight in the world.

Useful information
From the foot of the dam, to reach the crown of the wall, you can do it on foot or take the cable car of the “Chargeur”, (which takes its name from the construction period of the dam, like the hotel “Ritz” located just side!). If you join the Grande Dixence dam with a private vehicle, arriving early enough, you will find a parking space in one of the two car parks located next to the departure station of the cable car.

Itinerary
From the top of the dam wall, the route does not pose any particular problem. Follow “Prafleuri hut”, then “Col des Roux”. For the downhill the path is obvious until the road along the dam.
