Itinerary
Departure
Join the parking of the Jorasse chairlift above Ovronnaz to reach the altitude restaurant of the same name, Jorasse at point 1929. From there, reach the Petit Pré, altitude 1998 m, to bypass the Grand Chavalard in the direction watch hands.
Route
Follow the steep T3 path to the Lérié car park, following the path between the Parc à Modzons and L’Etroit routes, before tackling an easy but vertiginous path along the southern foothills of the Aiguille and the Grand Chavalard. Arrived on the southwestern ridge of Grand Chavalard, estimate your strength: this is the point of no return for the ride. Continue on the side of the mountain, overlooking the lower Lake of Fully until you reach a junction that you take to the right (North) located 100 meters before point 2052. Continue along the path which climbs towards the Fenestral hut, just under the pass at an altitude of 2454 m, the highest point of the hike.
From the Fenestral pass, start the descent and follow the stony path which joins by the Les Grands Prés moraine before spinning under the Greppon Blanc to the Petit Pré, the starting point of the loop. Go up the road for 100 m to the top of the chairlift before returning to the starting car park.
