Start

Since Thyon 2000 head to the top of the gondola Veysonnaz. The route goes under the gondola line and follows the direction La Combire, Combatzeline, Ancien Bisse de Chervé. It is a forest road that goes towards the Tsa ski lift. From the Tsa ski lift (point 2163), do not follow La Combire, etc. but climb straight along the ski lift (very little marked path). At the top of the ski lift, follow the road towards the Greppon Blanc chairlift. This road joins the departure station of the chairlift and then climbs towards Crepon Blanc. (highest point of the route). From this peak follow the ridge through Le Mont Loeré, Mont Rouge, Mont carré, La Tsermetta and Crêtes de Thyon to join the starting point.

Practical information

This route can be done in both directions. At the beginning there is the indication « chemin des Crêtes”. The route described here starts along the northern slopes of the Chemin des Crêtes. It is a choice, to start the hike smoothly and avoid the first extremely steep climb of the « crêtes de Thyon ». Another advantage, the North side is less sunny, it is more pleasant to walk uphill in the cool of the morning.
